Project Details
Full Project Description
The PACHEDU Visionary Youth Project supports young people aged 14–25 from Minority Ethnic backgrounds across Renfrewshire. It creates a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can connect, share experiences, and access tailored guidance.
The project addresses key barriers such as limited access to opportunities, social isolation, and underrepresentation in mainstream services. Through a holistic approach, young people are supported in their personal, social, and professional development.
Working in partnership with organisations such as The King’s Trust, Invest Renfrewshire, Barnardo’s, and Create Paisley, the programme provides pathways into further training, education, and employment. Participants benefit from mentoring, skills development, and real-life experiences that prepare them for future success.

Youth Voice
Youth voice is at the heart of everything we do. We believe young people should have the opportunity to speak openly about the issues that affect their lives.
Our sessions create a safe and supportive space where young people can share their lived experiences, discuss challenges, and learn from one another. These conversations help build confidence, encourage understanding, and ensure that every young person feels heard and valued.
By listening to our young people, we ensure that our programmes continue to reflect their needs, experiences, and aspirations.
Sport and Wellbeing
We believe sport is an integral part of youth development, supporting both mental and physical wellbeing. Through sport, young people build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
Our young people take part in a range of activities including golf, volleyball, football, and other sports. These activities encourage them to challenge themselves, develop new skills, and support one another.
Sport also creates opportunities for healthy competition, where young people work together to create new ideas, games, and challenges while building positive relationships and enjoying being active.
Weekly Drop-In Sessions
Our weekly drop-in sessions provide a safe and welcoming space for young people to meet, socialise, and feel part of a supportive community. These sessions help young people build friendships, connect with others, and reduce feelings of isolation.
During the sessions, young people take part in a variety of activities including group discussions, cooking, games, dancing, and other fun activities. The environment is relaxed and inclusive, giving young people the freedom to express themselves, learn new skills, and simply enjoy spending time together.
