Project Profile:

Voice of Renfrewshire Minorities (April 2016), going forward it will be named Voice of Minorities (VOM).

Every ethnic group no matter how small deserves an opportunity to narrate the story of their lives as they see it. This allows them to contribute to the vision of the bigger picture.

African Mini Film Festival (Pachedu charity launch 29/10/2016)

Project Profile:

This was done in collaboration with Africa in Motion and Create Paisley.

Background

Pachedu bought into the work that Africa in Motion is doing to showcase African films that do not normally make it onto the main film circuit.

Background

Diabetes continues to be the leading cause of kidney failure, non-traumatic lower-extremity amputations, and blindness among adults and is a major cause of heart disease and stroke. Minority Ethnic communities are more unlikely to walk in for a health check unless they are seriously ill.

This event was done in partnership with WSREC’s Cook, Grow, Sew Branching Out project who amongst other things work to increase the awareness of methods to reduce carbon emissions in ethnic minorities.
